BMW is pleased to announce the new BMW Z4. Due for release in April 2006, the new BMW Z4 offers revised styling and a new engine line-up.
The new BMW Z4 has even more presence than before with re-designed front and rear bumpers and new light cluster designs that sharpen the appearance of the whole car. A revised engine line-up now benefits from Euro IV compliance and six speed manual transmissions as standard. There are significant power increases on all engines above the 2.0i model. New colours, upholsteries and trims mean that the new BMW Z4 is an even more exciting and comfortable car.
For the first time in the BMW Z4 range there are new Sport models available which feature the following additional specification enhancements:
- M double-spoke styling 135M
- Three-spoke M leather steering wheel
- M Sport seats
- M Sports suspension
The new BMW Z4 with its wide track, long wheelbase, low centre of gravity and low seating position is the definitive roadster. It is also, of course, a BMW. That means exhilarating responses and surefooted composure when the straights become corners, thanks to near-perfect 50:50 front-to-rear balance and rear-wheel drive. These features also help provide high levels of traction and steering precision, aided in critical situations by Dynamic Stability Control (DSC ) which helps prevent the car from running wide of your intended course when, for example, the road is wet. This system also features Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), which allows a limited amount of wheelslip for extra traction should you need it, for instance, when on a loose surface.
