6) Affordable Housing
i) Presentation from Paul Whitfield of Bromford Housing Association
The Committee were told about the ethos and achievements of the Association. Please see the information pack (kept with these minutes) for full details.
The Committee discussed the next action to be taken and decided on advice (from Arlene of the CCB) that they should meet with any other interested Housing Associations at a special meeting on the 19th December. Arlene agreed to invite all relevant Associations, and Cllr Harries agreed to book the Town Hall for this date. Each Association would be given a time allocation – this allocation would be determined nearler the time (once it was known how many would attend).
ii) Rural Housing Conference: 6-9pm, 10th December, Shaw House – discuss representation
Cllr Booth offered to attend and report back to the Committee
iii) Sovereign Housing Group – invitation to official opening of Windmill Piece, Watlington – discuss representation
No Cllr was available to attend this function; Sovereign Housing would be invited to present to the Committee on the 19th December.

The Chair advised the Committee that due to a complaint from a member of the public the matter had been referred to the Full Council meeting on the 3rd December. The Committee noted that the site visit and discussion had already taken place and that no action was necessary at this meeting.

7) Parish Planning Guide DVD
Cllr Pope advised the Committee that the DVD promoted the work of West Berkshire Council and encouraged Parish and Town Councils to advise the District of any projects that may need their support. Other Cllrs have expressed an interest in seeing the DVD (namely Cllrs Hudson and Thompson) and it is being circulated – to be returned to the Council office once seen.

Cllrs Thompson, Pope and Booth took copies of the leaflet and all Members were encouraged to view the website: to offer feedback to West Berkshire Council.

Cllr Pope offered to read the document and report back to the Committee at the next meeting.

It was noted that a number of invitations had taken place before the night of the meeting. The Cllrs who open the post were present and have offered to telephone the Chair when a deadline or event is before the next E&P meeting.
