Minutes of the Environment and Planning Committee meeting held on Monday, 26th January 2009 at 7.00pm in the Corn Exchange Complex, Hungerford

Present:  Cllrs Booth, Buckwell, Harries, Wilson, Acworth, Bullock, Gaines, Werrell & Parry.

1. Apologies for absence:  Cllrs Hudson (commitment), Liddiard (holiday), Pope (ill).

2. Declarations of interest:  none

3. Minutes of meeting held on 13th January 2009 were proposed as a true record by Cllr Gaines, seconded by Cllr Harries, 6 in favour 3 abstentions.

4. LDF Sub-committee:  The agenda has gone out, and the first meeting is scheduled for Thursday 29th January.  The committee will then report back to the next E&P meeting.

5. Exception site: Cllr Booth summarised the situation following an update provided by Ros Pithouse on behalf of Testway.  West Berkshire Council has agreed on the purchase of the land, and the value.  Architect Nigel Dyer is drawing up further layouts/design features for the Testway staff to comment on.  A formal meeting is taking place in February to finalise the finer design details, and it is aimed to submit planning application by April.

         No Objections proposed by Cllr Wilson, seconded by Cllr Bullock, all in favour.
