Minutes of the Environment and Planning Committee meeting held on Monday, 14th September 2009 at 7 pm in the Corn Exchange Complex, Hungerford. 

Present:  Cllrs Booth, Buckwell, Cardwell, Harries, Acworth, Hudson, Bullock, Gaines, Wynell-Sutherland

1. Apologies for absence: Cllrs Wilson and Liddiard

2. Declarations of interest:  none

3. Minutes of meeting held on 24th August 2009: proposed by Cllr Bullock, seconded by Cllr Gaines, two abstentions, rest in favour.

4. Planning Applications

09/01697/FUL

The Airstrip, Anvilles Farm – Mr C Persson

Section 73 application for the removal of Condition 1 and the variation of Condition 2 of planning decision ref: 72/372 to permit the limited use of airstrip by persons other than the original applicant at Anvilles Farm Airstrip, Hungerford.

After discussion, it was agreed to Object, with the following comment:  ‘condition 1 is retained but varied to include named people, ie Mr Persson or his named representatives.  Also condition 2 is not varied without further information being supplied.’  This was proposed by Cllr Gaines, seconded by Cllr Buckwell, 8 in favour, 1 abstention.

7. Appeal:              25 Church Way – Mr & Mrs S Pike – discussed and noted by committee.

8. Future planning considerations:  Cllr Gaines pointed out that planning directives come from government and WBC interprets them.  The committee must include its views on planning applications so that WBC can take them into consideration.
