7. Any Other Business: Cllr Buckwell informed that committee that Network Rail and First Great Western wish to meet HTC (suggest Chairmen of E&P and H&T committees present) for an informal discussion and to let us know what they are thinking of doing and to find out what the community wants. Re. the Exception Site, Cllr Booth said that, although we were surprised at the announcement by Ward Councillor Paul Hewer at the Town Council meeting that the number of houses to be built at the exception site, which the present plans show as being 16, were currently under discussion at WBC, she wished to remind the committee that we were originally told that the site would accommodate 12 houses, therefore if the numbers dropped to 14 this would still be a bonus. Cllr Booth also confirmed that, together with the Mayor and Cllr Buckwell, she attended a site meeting with Ward Councillor David Holtby to discuss his idea of a new engineered path from the Exception Site into Shalbourne Close. On reflection Cllr Holtby confirmed that this would not be a viable solution and agreed that, as a new path will be built in North Standon Road, the old path would not be required and should be closed.
The meeting closed at 7.25 pm
