Planning Applications
Proposed that standing orders are
suspended for Mrs Day-Wilson from Kennet Cottage 13 Oxford Street to speak
regarding the planning application for Linden Cottage 21 Oxford Street.
Proposed Cllr Hudson, seconded Cllr Booth, all in favour.
Mrs Day-Wilson raised concerns regarding the planning application for Linden
Cottage, she does not object in principal but has 2 main concerns, these are
for parking for the property and the sight line from the first floor windows of
the extension and the invasion of privacy that this may cause. She also raised
concerns regarding the additional vehicles and parking for contractors that may
be at the property whilst the building work is being undertaken.
Proposed that standing orders are reinstated, proposed Cllr Bullock, seconded
Cllr Booth, all in favour.
Agreed that HTC members should visit the property and discuss the concerns with
the owners to see if a compromise can be reached. There are not any grounds to
object to the planning application. Cllr Booth to visit the applicants and the
neighbouring properties, Cllr Acworth to raise concerns regarding any vehicles
at the property during the construction of the extension.
08/00054/HOUSE Linden Cottage 21 Oxford Street – Demolition of prefabricated garage and
replacement with oak framed single
garage and carport with studio/playroom
above – No objections – Proposed Cllr Liddiard,
seconded Cllr Hudson, all in
favour.
Concerns raised re parking by
contractors blocking the road (very narrow
road). Define that the garage will be
used for parking of vehicles. If building
was moved by one metre it would give
extra off street parking. Concerns
raised regarding size of south facing
windows.
07/02694/FUL Land adjacent to 2 Tealgate – 4 Industrial starter
units – No objections -
Proposed Cllr Acworth, seconded Cllr
Buckwell, all in favour.
Considered a very bland building, could
it be enhanced? Concern regarding
floor levels and flood plain.
08/00089/LBC2 2 Leverton – Conversion of store room to study – No
objections – Proposed
Cllr Bullock, seconded Cllr Acworth,
all in favour.
08/00112/HOUSE 12 South View
