Minutes of the Finance & General Purposes Committee meeting held on Wednesday, 21st October 2009 in the Town Council Offices, Church Street, Hungerford at 6.00pm

Present: A Buckwell (Chair), G Bullock, E Cardwell, D Gaines, J Booth, R Hudson, RFO

1. Apologies: None

2. Declarations of Interests: E Cardwell declared special project

3. Minutes of the Meeting held on 14^th September 09:

J Booth proposed we agree amendment to item 7 to read ‘one friendly match’, seconded D Gaines. All in favour.

4. Precept – A Buckwell has put amended figures in everyone’s pigeon holes. This will be looked at again in December and January as committees need to consider figures first. [note: R Hudson arrived 6.10pm.] E Cardwell proposed the clerk writes to WBC agreeing that Thatcham Council can be advised of the reason for our large contribution to the Hungerford Leisure Centre and requesting that HTC be copied in on further correspondence from Thatcham.

5. Special Project

Members of the committee reconfirmed their earlier oral agreement to HR-related expenditure and the statement released to the Mayor for her use with the agency. D Gaines proposed and seconded by J Booth that the statement is agreed; all present were in favour.
